Energy storage. A power outage is annoying. If it occurs in a high-tech industrial plant that is currently processing plastic, the damage is significant. Unplanned machine outages lead to a production downtime that lasts for hours, making it very expensive. Relief is provided by emergency power supplies suitable to industrial use and which feature lithium-ion batteries – safely housed in VX25 switching cabinets.
Power failure. The extrusion plant has suddenly stopped in its tracks. It had just been processing plastics under full load and producing extremely thin films. But now the plastic film has ripped. The aggravation this causes is great, and the damage even greater: after all, the drives and heating systems have failed, the whole machine has cooled down. The plant has to be heated up again and cleaned. Production downtime lasting several hours is the result.
